We are excited to kick-off ABYC’s Cruising Club 2022 cruising season. We are looking forward to once again gather with our Club family for some fun time on the water.

The 74rd Newport to Ensenada (N2E) will start off the Balboa Pier on Friday, April 22nd, @ Noon. Please join ABYC Cruising Club’s cruise to Newport Harbor to view the spectacle that is the start of the race and then spend the weekend at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club.

BCYC reciprocal slips provided on a “space available basis” to ABYC members - guest fees ($2.00 per foot) are charged for each night. Boats will be side tied (remember to bring bumpers), and some guest slips may be available. When approaching BCYC, call Debbie Dunne- BCYC Waterfront Manager – (949) 644-9530 x22 for docking assignments. BCYC can only accommodate 8-10 boats. If you plan to participate please RSVP to “[email protected]" ASAP with your boat information. Debbie Dunne needs to request a permit from the City of Newport to accommodate our visit. Your cooperation is appreciated!

In the event space is not available at BCYC we have contacted Balboa Yacht Club (BYC), which is next door to BCYC, and they have said if there is space available ABYC members can enjoy reciprocal privileges. Contact-Scott (949) 673-3515 x 142/ VHF Ch 69.

Please note that all accommodations will require you to complete a reservation form, provide copies of your insurance declarations page and your USCG documentation or DMV registration

Once your reservation is confirmed please let us know your assigned slip, mooring or anchorage so we can have a log of participants.

All yachts visiting BCYC must check-in with Debbie Dunne, BCYC Waterfront Manager, when they arrive at BCYC. Visitors must provide copies of current registration, current insurance policy, and a current ABYC Membership Card. At check-in you will be asked to sign a Guest Registration Agreement, at which time you will be provided codes for various club facilities. ABYC members must identify themselves by flying their club burgee. ABYC members not staying at BCYC should have their Membership Card with them and may be required to present the card when requesting services. Credit card is the preferred method of payment for all services.

Checkout time is 10:00 AM Sunday.

BCYC has excellent bar and dining facilities- reservations are required and service maybe limited to outdoor decks/patios. We plan to reserve patio space for a Happy Hour on Saturday, April 23rd @ 4:00 in the afternoon. During your visit please patronize BCYC’s bar and dining facilities. Please see BCYC’s website for dining options and menu info. Parking and Guest passes are available for any Land Cruiser that wishes to join us for all or any part of our visit.

Please follow all BCYC’s social and Covid-19 safety protocols- BCYC requirements may differ from those protocols we are familiar with, however as guests we must follow local requirements. Masks, social distancing, frequent hand washing, and sanitizing our space are encouraged or required.

We need to inform BCYC, ASAP, as to how many boats will be participating. Please email, Alan Cunningham, [email protected], if you plan to attend, indicate your date of arrival, and provide your boat information. Please indicate if you plan to be at BCYC, stay at Marine Park (Lighthouse), moor or anchor.
