What?: May 3rd is the raft up party. Basically everyone is invited to raft up. At 12:00 noon a signal will sound and the day will begin. If you have a bigger boat you are encouraged to raft up in Basin 5 and add to the excitement. If you have a smaller boat and you want to display, we would like you to set up on the hard and show everyone your prized craft! We will have refreshments and music available all day to everyone that shows up! That night we will have a burger bash and band to liven things further. We will end relatively early so that the next day everyone will have enough energy!
It's been twenty two years since ABYC began contesting the title of Club Champion with a regatta held on Opening Day. Besides bragging rights, the winners earn the use of a reserved parking space for the year.

The Memorial Day regatta is the first of ABYC's four Holiday Series events tied to holiday weekends. Two days of racing on both Alamitos Bay and in the Long Beach Harbor. This year will include the Area J Semifinal for the 2013 US Singlehanded Championship in the Laser for men and the Laser Radial for women.
