ABYC is approximately 30 miles south of the Los Angeles International
Airport (LAX), 30 miles north of the John Wayne Orange County Airport and
10 miles west of the Long Beach Airport. We advise our visitors
to rent a car when arriving by air. You can take one of the shuttle
services to the Club from LAX or John Wayne which will cost approximately
$30 or a cab from the Long Beach airport for about $12, but you will be
stranded at ABYC, which is on a residential peninsula, if you arrive
without an automobile.

FROM LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Exit Los Angeles Airport and take the CA-1 SOUTH/(I-105) ramp toward
SEPULVEDA BLVD SOUTH and continue onto S SEPULVEDA BLVD. Take the I-105
EAST ramp towards NORWALK. Take the I-405 SOUTH towards LONG BEACH.
Take the I-710 SOUTH from the I-405 Freeway, 710 Freeway South will
eventually become Shoreline Drive. Follow Shoreline Drive to Ocean
Boulevard and turn right at the traffic light. Follow Ocean Blvd staying
to the right after 39th Place. (Bear right toward Vons at the fork in the road). Keep following Ocean Blvd. until it dead ends at 72nd Place. Alamitos Bay Yacht Club is on the left side of the street.

FROM JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT

This Airport is much smaller and easier to negotiate than LAX. Follow the signs for I-405 NORTH (toward Santa Monica and Long Beach). Exit to the Long Beach 7th Street junction and then the Studebaker exit and proceed south to Westminster Avenue. At Westminster Avenue turn right and proceed to Bay Shore Drive. Turn left and keep to the left when the street forks, taking you to Ocean Boulevard. Turn left onto Ocean Boulevard and follow Ocean Blvd. to 7201 East Ocean Blvd. and the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club.

FROM LONG BEACH AIRPORT

This is the closest airport to ABYC but it has a limited number of flights.

Exit West onto Lakewood, turn onto I-405 South (San Diego) From the 405 Freeway South, take the 710 Freeway South which will eventually become Shoreline Drive. Follow Shoreline Drive to Ocean Boulevard and turn right , then follow Ocean (while staying to the right) to 7201 E. Ocean and the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club.
